Bhature

Well, Cholle Bhature is undoubtedly one of the most popular dish of Punjab. While, making Cholle is easy, Bhature can be a bit tricky.
So, here's the easiest way to make Bhature.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Plain Flour (Maida)                               2 Cups
  • Yoghurt (dahi)                                      3/4 Cup
  • Baking Soda                                         1/2 T Spoon
  • Brown Sugar                                         1 Tb Spoon
  • Oil                                                         Enough for deep frying
  • Salt                                                        To taste
RECIPE:

  1. Mix & Sift, Flour, baking soda & salt well.
  2. Add Yoghurt & Brown Sugar
  3. Add Luke warm water & knead soft dough
  4. Cover the dough with a wet cloth & keep it aside for proving for about 3-4 hours at a warm place.
  5. When the dough has almost doubled itself, its ready.
  6. Divide it & make balls.
  7. Cover it & set aside for 5 minutes.
  8. Grease your palm with little oil & roll the balls else you can use a rolling pin (belan).
  9. Heat Oil & deep fry your bhatures on Medium-high flame.
  10. Serve with spicy hot cholle or with dry dhaniya aalu, they always taste delicious.
